Wallpaper is calculated and sold by the single roll, but packaged in Double Rolls. It must be ordered in multiples of 2. The reason wallpaper is packaged in double rolls is so you get more coverage on your wall than you would with two shorter pieces, so it is much better to have the double roll than a single roll.
The number of single rolls is based on a pattern repeat of 18 inches or less. If your pattern repeat is more than 18” allow for extra wallpaper to cover the larger pattern. Please do not hesitate to email or call our office for help in calculating your wallpaper needs if in doubt.
A DOUBLE ROLL of wallpaper will generally cover 56 square feet, but always refer to the information on each product for actual coverage, some papers will differ depending on the manufacturer and the width of the product.
Pretty much all wallpaper borders are sold in what is referred to as a spool. A single spool will always be 5 yards long or another wards 15 feet long. If you were covering 30 running feet of wall, you most likely would need more than 2 spools of paper. This is because you will need to allow for the pattern repeat, and when you go to install the second spool of paper you will lose some of the paper when you cut it to match the end of the other paper.
